MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Leolan Academy, a centre for children with learning disabilities, including autism spectrum and Down syndrome today, 3 June celebrated their 10th birthday.
From its humble beginnings with only three learners, the centre now offers a loving and stimulating environment to 50 children and youths.
The birthday celebration was hosted in glorious late autumn weather and guests of honour included the mayor of Mossel Bay, Alderman Dirk Kotzé and Councillor Anton Dellemijn, as well as Petri Cronjé from the Louis57 Foundation.

International golfer Louis Oosthuizen has been the patron of the school for several years and pledged his support through his foundation.

Members of municipal traffic and community safety also joined the party with Danny Cat in tow, a favourite among the children. The guests each received a handmade card from the learners, thanking them for their support over the past years.
