MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A motorcyclist and a Mercedes sedan collided outside the Mossel Bay Library in Marsh Street today, Friday 6 October.
The motorcyclist, a male aged 50, suffered suspected broken bones and was taken to hospital. No one else was hurt in the accident.
According to a witness on the scene and to Mossel Bay Police Station commander Colonel Albert Haggard, the motorist was allegedly performing an illegal U-turn in Marsh Street at the time the collision took place at about 13:15.
A number of accidents take place in this busy section of Marsh Street, where the speed limit is 40km/h.
