MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Well-known local artist James Malgas, known for his large murals depicting Mossel Bay’s community life, recently held a successful and creative art exhibition in Tarka.
Malgas told Mossel Bay Advertiser as part of the exhibition, he drew images on the streets of Tarka using chalk.
He soon invited the children there to join him, allowing them to use their creativity. “My focus was split between drawing and keeping up with the children around me. We all had a ball,” he said.
Malgas’ work has graced many festivals in Mossel Bay, particularly a community festival that often takes place in Tarka. His work has also appeared at the KKNK in Outdshoorn.
Because of his passion for art, Malgas has been involved in encouraging awareness around artistic creativity for many years in Mossel Bay.
