GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - Three people (all approximately 18 years old) died in an accident in the early hours of this morning, Saturday 4 December.
The accident took place on the N2 outside Great Brak River, near the Maalgate bridge, in the direction of George.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson, Captain Malcolm Pojie, the incident occurred between 01:00 and 02:00 this morning.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the driver of the Lexus, with three passengers, lost control of the vehicle and left the road approximately 500 meters to 1km from the Maalgate bridge on the N2.
All four occupants were thrown out of the vehicle.
One of the passengers managed to find help and contacted the George police. He was later treated for his injuries at a local hospital and has since been discharged," said Pojie.
It is believed that the four were from Mpumalanga on holiday in Rheebok.
No identities may be released at this stage as the next of kin have not all been informed.
