GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - Amidst lockdown and the Covid pandemic the Eskom Expo for Young Scientists virtual competition is steady on track.
A total of 34 learners from schools across the Eden / Karoo district have indicated their eagerness to participate in this year's competition and are now working hard to finalise their entries, which must be completed by Friday 6 August.
Eskom Expo provincial admin assistant, Sonet Strydom, said they are currently gearing for a Western Cape expo competition, which entails that all projects have to be ready before the judges get their opportunity to asses the projects.
"With sincere gratitude we thank the judges who came on board to afford learners the opportunity to showcase their brilliant ideas," said Strydom.
"We endeavour to assist learners and educators and also wish to thank parents, educators and all role players for their dedication in very challenging times."
The winners will be announced during a virtual prize-giving on 2 September.
