MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Mossel Bay Municipality, based on the latest lockdown feedback, have addressed several issues regarding the current lockdown level.
Home industries are allowed to trade under the usual licensing requirements, as well as health and safety regulations. There is also no restriction on anyone baking confectionery for home industries. The usual and necessary health and safety rules apply.
Business can be resumed at car wash facilities.
There is no restriction on children visiting shops or shopping malls.
Although movement is restricted, children may accompany their parents and guardians, especially when the intention is to buy them clothes for winter. Children may not visit shopping malls unaccompanied by either a parent or legal guardian and must wear face masks when they leave home.
Children are allowed to exercise during the allotted time (06:00-09:00) within the 5 km radius from their homes. Face masks must be worn.
All early childhood development centres remain closed.
Live-in staff, as well as staff providing care to the elderly, persons with disabilities - and children - are allowed.
All beaches remain off-limits for any form of exercise.
Exercising in groups, organised and group sports are disallowed and prohibited. This also applies to cyclists.
You may not travel elsewhere to exercise, but must exercise strictly within the 5 km radius from your home.
Second-hand traders shops are allowed to trade, but they are only allowed to sell permitted good listed in the level 4 regulations. This includes blankets, heaters, winter clothing, and certain electronic and computer products and cellular phones.
Second-hand traders are not allowed to buy any wares from clients.
All bookshops - also second-hand bookshops may trade all books and stationery, but they are not allowed to buy any books from clients.
