Update

MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Executive Mayor of Mossel Bay, Dirk Kotzé this afternoon at 14:00 met with the group of protesters at the KwaNonqaba Police Station. 

He was accompanied by Director Carel Venter (Planning and Economic Development). 

Five suspects were arrested this morning in connection with the protest. 

The protesters demand their release. Furthermore, the protesters are not happy with the construction of housing development in KwaNonqaba and insist that the contractor leaves the site. The talks between the Mayor and the protesters were not successful and the issues were not resolved.
