Taking down illegal connections
Several 100 metres of flex were removed.

MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A successful operation by Mossel Bay Municipality, in collaboration with the Public Order Policing Unit, on Tuesday morning netted several 100 metres of flex used to illegally connect dwellings to the electricity network.

Illegal electricity connections are incredibly dangerous and lives have been lost because of them.

The Mossel Bay Municipality implores residents to report illegal connections to 044 606 5000 and the local police.

"Please put the safety of your children and community first and do not allow illegal electricity connections in your area."
