Willem le Grange's pumpkin, grown in Ruiterbos outside Mossel Bay, has beaten the southern hemisphere heaviest pumpkin record.

MOSSEL BAY NEWS - It's official. Willem le Grange's pumpkin, grown in Ruiterbos outside Mossel Bay, has beaten the southern hemisphere heaviest pumpkin record.

Willem's pumpkin was weighed at the Giant Pumpkin Festival 2021 in Heidelberg this evening and reached 867,5kg on the digital scale.
The South African heaviest pumpkin record is 860kg. The world record is 1 191,5kg.
