MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Mossel Bay Advertiser has reported several times on the desperate need for a "safety house" in Mossel Bay.
This would be a house where children who have been removed from abusive or neglectful homes can be placed, until the children can be adopted or fostered.
If you have an extra house in Mossel Bay, or you know of people who have a house they can donate for this purpose, contact Riëtte Delport (072 264 3460) or ACVV social worker Amanda Beukes (044 691 1039).
A home could also be hired out at a reasonable monthly rent for this worthy cause.
Delport is co-ordinating an effort to establish a safety house in Mossel Bay and she is working on this together with the ACVV, which is a recognised, respected charity organisation and a legitimate NPO.
There are many people with homes in Mossel Bay which are seldom used and who might be glad to see them used to help children in need.
If you know of friends or family who are able to help, do contact them and suggest the idea to them.
Also, ask people to spread the word to others.
