MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Transnet Ports Authority today confirmed that none of their 8 commercial ports are closed due to the Coronavirus.
In a press statement this morning, they reiterated that Presdient Cyril Ramaphosa’s announcement did not refer to total closure of any sea-port.
Instead, the President said that two sea-ports would no longer allow passenger vessels and crew changes until further notice.
It has not been confirmed that these ports are Saldanha and Mossel Bay. This is unverified information. “Transnet will communicate verified details as soon as possible,” TNPA’s states.
