The competition started off with the Inter-Provincials on Saturday, in which the local Izaan Hough competed in Taplin Relay.
After showing off their respective club colours in the Mach Past, more than 500 Nippers of different age groups and from 23 clubs, started their competition.
Jadon Ralph-Alers competed in the under U/9 age group in Beach Flags, Beach Sprints, Surf Swim, Body Board and Beach Run.
Fellow team member Hermann Meerholz competed in the U/10 age group in Beach Flags, Beach Sprints, Surf Swim and Body Board, in which he reached the finals and came 10th.
Jaydé Hermanus, girls U/11, competed in Beach Flags, Beach Sprints and Surf Swim.
In the U/12 age group, Kyle Brandt competed in Beach Flags and Beach Sprints.
Farren Burger competed in Beach Flags and reached the semi-finals, and came sixth in Beach Sprints finals. She also competed in Surf Swim.
Izaan Hough competed in the U/13 age group in Beach Flags, in which she reached the semi-finals, and Body Board.
Joshua Hermanus competed in the U/14 age group in Beach Flags, Beach Sprints, in which he reached the semi-finals, and Beach Run, where he came fourth and just missed the medals.
Nippers are open to all children, age eight to 13 years, with swimming and running abilities.
