Update
MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Louis Fourie Road in Mossel Bay is currently being upgraded and the following activities will commence on the road within three months.
- Preparations for the widening of the left of Louis Fourie Road, from Park Crescent to Via Appie.
- Retaining walls along the section of Park Crescent to Via Appie.
- Intersection widening at Industry Road and Beach Road West.
- Work on the new Garrett Street bridge.
- Continue with the left side widening of the Pansy River culvert.
- Pipe jacking at the George Street culvert.
- Temporary street lighting.
- Laying new Telkom ducts.
- Switchover to a portion of the new water main, with new connections.
The project management team apologises for any inconveniences caused and thanks Mossel Bay residents for their understanding, patience and cooperation during this project.
"The safety and movement of the travelling public is of utmost importance," says project manager, Peter Henderson, from the consulting engineering company, Hatch Africa, which is administering the contract on behalf of the Western Cape Department of Transport and Public Works.
