MOSSEL BAY - More than 60 locals benefited from the SANRAL upgrading of the N2 past Mossel Bay.
Public liaison officer Steven Levendal said the local entrepreneurs were given capacity training as part of the project that was contracted to RoadMac. Roadworks commenced on 1 November 2017 and will conclude on 31 October, when both directions of the N2 from the Dana Bay turn-off to Great Brak River will have been resealed.
The local entrepreneurs were given training in nine different modules that spanned first aid, safety and guard rail training, to the more advanced methodologies of successful tendering for coming contracts.
Consulting engineer Ian Weston said SANRAL provided generously for training as part of the upgrading contract. He expressed his satisfaction with the manner in which the locals participated in the training.
