MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Over the years Willie van Rensburg has always given his wife Hazel flowers and after decades of marriage, nothing has changed. The flowers keep coming.
These yellow chrysanthemums (pictured) presented to Hazel earlier this week were simply a warm-up for their special anniversary day, 2 December, when they celebrated 60 years together.
Willie and Hazel met in Cradock and married in the NG Church in Fourth Avenue, Walmer, Port Elizabeth.
Hazel said this week: "All the honour goes to our heavenly Father, who has been with us every step of the way. We are also so grateful for our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who bring us so much joy.
"A very big thank you goes to Dominee Dawid de Wet too, for his good wishes."
Sixty years ago, and still today, the Van Rensburgs are a striking couple.
