Donovan Claassen new chair of sports council
The Mossel Bay Sports Council elected a new executive committee.

MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Donovan Claassen has been elected the new chairman of the Mossel Bay Sports Council.

This followed a general meeting held on 10 June, when 19 sports clubs were represented.

Claassen thanked all the representatives of the sporting codes who attended.

The other elected officials are Therese Nortje-Singh - vice chair; Rina van der Westhuizen - treasurer; Shjanneil Busch - secretary; and the additional members are P van der Merwe (schools), Michael Coetzee, Betresa Olivier and Martin Draai.

Councillor Niklaas Booisen and another representative, to be confirmed, will represent the municipality on the council.
