MOSSEL BAY NEWS - KwaNonqaba Police opened an inquest docket after the body of a baby boy was found earlier today.
Constables Nani and Mkanzi responded to a call from a resident who happened to notice a dog with something in the bushes.
Upon investigation, the resident, who walked among bushes in the Mzola Street area realised that it was the body of a baby boy that may have been born sometime this past weekend.
Captain Wolmerans and the sector commanders responded.
The baby's umbilical cord was neatly severed.
The investigating officers, Sgt Dominique Deuster and WO Geoffery Moos (044 606 5600) request the community to assist with any information into the matter.
