Gift of the Givers Foundation has since 5 March this year, offered humanitarian relief to Ukraine. A man from Mossel Bay, De Villiers Venter approached them for help. He is married to a Ukrainian woman, who fled Kiev shortly after the Russian invasion. Natalia has since played a pivotal role in helping set up a volunteer group for Gift of the Givers, who works with existing relief networks in Ukraine to assist the afflicted. De Villiers Venter told the Mossel Bay Advertiser, that he is in daily contact with the 20 or so members of the volunteer group to help coordinate the support effort from South Africa. These images have been received by De Villiers from the volunteers whilst doing their relief work and from his wife, Natalia. Natalia has returned to Kiev and the infrastructure photographs shows the destruction of places she regularly frequented in Kiev.
