As mens op die ouderdom van 97 nog kan ry-en-gly, en dit is beslis nie met jou motor op die pad gly nie, is jy verseker geseënd met kwaliteite in die lewe wat nie vir elkeen beskore is nie. Vir Marie Fick, 'n inwoner van die Lofdal aftreeoord in Bloemfontein, het dié ry-engly ander betekenisse as vir die gewone Jan Alleman. Fick het voor haar 97ste verjaardag, wat sy op Dinsdag, 5 Maart, by haar dogter, Mariaan Joubert kom vier het op Danabaai, haar bestuurslisensie hernu.
