MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Mossel Bay Arts Society is delighted to announce that the international saxophonist Andrew Young will be wowing the Mossel Bay audience with his latest concert, Andrew Young at the Movies.
Playing in his own inimitable style, he will be performing themes and songs from his favourite movies and the audience can look forward to classics such as Casablanca, Sandpiper, Wizard of Oz, Nottinghill, Titanic, The Deer Hunter and Walt Disney’s feature animation, Aladdin.
Internationally renowned, the Saxophone Journal USA described Andrew’s talent as - “A saxophonist with a ton of technique and a funky soulfulness.” The excellent pianist Tony Drake will be accompanying Andrew.
The concert takes place on Friday, 25 February at the Dias Museum. Seats are limited and booking is essential. Tickets, at R180 each (or R150 for members of the Mossel Bay Arts Society), may be obtained from Abé Meintjes (083 268 3718).
The concert starts at 19:30 with doors opening at 18:00.
"Please support the Mossel Bay Arts Society by becoming a member at only R150 for the year. Renewals, or new memberships, will be available at the concert. Membership entitles attendees to a ticket discount and advance notifications of upcoming concerts," invites and Arts Society spokesperson.
Note that Covid-19 regulations apply and the wearing of masks and social distancing will be mandatory.
