This event started in 1993 by six ladies of the congregation, but then there was a lapse of about five years before the next flower festival was spearheaded by Dot Eager. The idea was to display the talents of the ladies through flowers.
There were 20 participants glorifying the Holy Spirit this year and Kay MeEwan was the co-ordinator.
The opening welcome was on Friday morning by Agnes Sterley. Once the order of the service was completed by Rev Peter Holden, the church remained open for the weekend in order for the public to view the festival of flowers, as it displayed various themes covering the Holy Spirit.I was also welcomed as the youngest member to the team and my friend Ingrid Look and I covered the Baptism of Jesus.
Some of the other themes were the The Helper, The birth of Jesus, the Pentecost, Fruit of the Spirit, His Glory revealed, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
