MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Mossel Bay Yacht and Boat Club Sailing School held its annual sailing prize giving on 10 August.
Prizes were handed out to the new sailors that had just joined, the Level 1 sailors that can complete a triangle on the water and the level 2, 3 and 4 sailors that are improving their skills.
"The high performance sailors were also recognised as they will be working hard this year to improve their racing skills so that we can see more sailors on the racing circuit," sailing school principal Elfie Holden said.
"Dirk van der Westhuizen from the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport and Dave van der Walt from the Eden District Sports Council joined us for this busy evening at the club."
Level 3 sailors: Johan Prinsloo, Abigail Kok, Renier Delie, Jowayden Jacobus, Joshau Brown and Ryan Bailey.
The high performance sailors: Toni Vallentyn, Shadley Thomas, James Bull, Bradon Ketzman, Waydon Goliath and Tammy Holden, with Elfie Holden.
The Level 4 sailors (left back) are Daniel Kok, Sansar Maharaj, Sasha Nilssen, (front) Dytan Raw, Michael Dickinson, Himmath Maharaj, Ashley Layland and Oliver Holden.
