MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Eden Bodyboarding competed in Cape Town in the SA Championships, hosted by the Western Province Bodyboarding Association.

The championships took place during the school holidays.

The first day was at Horse Trails in Big Bay and the rest of the event at Melkbosstrand. Eden had the smallest team at this year's championships and still managed to win third place in the overall team standings.

Some of the individual bodyboarders also stepped up to the plate, with three of the juniors making their way to the semi-finals.

Luan du Toit from Mossel Bay did exceptionally well, taking second place in the men's division.

Ruan Swart, a bodyboarding sports administrator said, "It was a great week spent with like-minded people. Credit has to go to the Western Province Bodyboarding Association for running such a brilliantly organised event."
