MOSSEL BAY RUGBY NEWS - The Mossel Bay Municipality rugby team obliterated the team of the Hessequa Municipality with a final score of 92-0 on Friday night.
The Mossel Bay team tirelessly stacked up the tries in the SWDRU Municipal Rugby Challenge, which took place at the Riverdale sports stadium.
From the outset, it was clear the Mossel Bay team meant business when the first try was scored within the first minute of the game. Then the tries were piled up and by half time the score was 40-0.
In the first half, Mossel Bay had already scored six tries and four conversions. The coveted bonus point was in the bag.
Henn-Lin Botha, the flyhalf, was voted player of the match. He scored 32 points with his two tries and 11 conversions. The backline player of the match was Shadward Fillies. He contributed 15 points, with three tries. The forward player of the match was Marquin Smart.
The team stacked up a total of 14 tries.
