GARDEN ROUTE RUGBY NEWS - The Mossel Bay Municipality rugby team has convincingly won the municipal rugby team of Oudtshoorn Municipality in the SWD Municipal Club competition last night on the Bridgton Sportsground in Oudtshoorn.
The final score was 36-26, giving Mossel Bay a well-deserved bonus point.
"In all likelihood Mossel Bay is the new log-leaders, we await confirmation," says team manager Norman Cupido.
The next battle is next weekend on Friday, 25 October when the Mossel Bay team takes on the team of Hessequa in Riversdale.
Cupido and the rest of the management congratulate the team on their performance. The points scorers were (tries) Shadward Fillies, Edgar Syfers, Curtley Kiewiet, Reinhard Stears and Winrich Kennedy.
Edgar Syfers scored four conversions and a penalty for a personal contribution of 16 points to the final tally.
