MOSSEL BAY RUGBY NEWS - Mossel Bay Barbarians RFC hosted the first gala sponsorship event in the history of Barbarians RFC.
The newly-elected chairman of the club, Vernon Seconds, introduced his management team and set the scene of what can be expected from the event and the club.
He highlighted that the club was moving into a professional era and that the club must adopt and certainly strive to be managed as a business.
The brainchild of the newly-elected club treasurer Reagan Pienaar, who can certainly be happy on the outcome of the event, the primary initiative is to invite potential investment partners and to showcase the strong values, club vision and mission.
Various club representatives were tasked to present on topics such as the club history which ultimately concluded with the club budget and various requirements of the club.
The Mossel Bay Advertiser was one of the invited guests and can conclude that this new management team is on the right track.
The event was professional and the Advertiser and other attendees were impressed.
The club reiterated that it is ready for business and informed all attendees that investing in the club certainly had benefits.
The club is in the final process of finalising the club constitution to allow for the club to be registered as an NPO. The club committed to it that its financial statements would be audited and that the new finance committee under leadership of Pienaar is more than capable of making that happen.
