MOSSEL BAY SPORTS NEWS - The 10th year of the Mossel Bay Sport Council Awards took place on 26 May at the Garden Route Casino's Bravo Lounge.

Great Brak River's Dr Ferdi Wessels, who currently lives in Bloemfontein, where he practises as a medical doctor, was the guest speaker at this gala event.

The junior sportswoman of the year award went to Clarissa Steenekamp, a young archer who has achieved numerous accolades in a very short time.

Sportswoman of the year Jandri Snyders.

The award for the junior sportsman of the year went to Johan Coenraad Schoeman, a biathlon athlete, cross country achiever and laser runner.

The sportswoman of the year was Jandri Snyders, a track, field and cross country athlete from Hartenbos Drawwers. The sportsman of the year award went to Isak Smart, an 80-year-old domino player and chair man of Great Brak Domino Club.
