MOSSEL BAY NEWS - “Sport helps youngsters to develop physical skills, make friends, improve their self-esteem, and improve communication and academic ability.
"Some evidence suggests that youngsters who participate in sport are less likely to drop out of school.”
Therefore the Mossel Bay Municipality in collaboration with the Garden Route Casino Community Trust and other stakeholders are hosting a Beach Sport Programme from 29 November until 15 December at Santos Beach, daily from 10:30 until 17:00.
The purpose of this programme is to encourage young people to get involved in sport so they stay away from alcohol and drug abuse, crime, gangsters and unhealthy sexual practices.
