MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Mossel Bay surfers did our town proud at the Western Cape Grom Championships in Cape Town on 26 and 27 March.
Two Mossel Bay boys received bronze medals.
The Grom Championships, an annual entry level contest, was held at Muizenberg this year.
Five Mossel Bay surfers were part of the 24-strong Eden surfing team and three managing staff who went to the championships.
Three of the Mossel Bay children, a manager and one of the coaches were from the Surfer Kids Foundation.

Clayton Bischoff, who is the vice chairman, Eden Surfing, said:
"It is the first time Eden has won the Western Cape Grom Champs. We will defend the title next year in March."
The Mossel Bay surfers who placed well were:
- U12 Boys: Mayah Douglas, third place; Sibulele Ntosho, fourth place.
- U14 Boys: Indie Rossouw, third place.
