MOSSELBAAI NEWS AND VIDEO - The Vastrap Club was out and about again on Sunday, 18 December, this time taking an adventurous drive at Grootplaas Adventures.
The day started with a scenic cruise through Gondwana Game Reserve, where two hippos were spotted lazing in the water.

Then it was on to a beautiful view of the Gourits River in full force, after which the real adventure began. Steep descents and amazing climbs gave the drivers something to talk about and to show one another who could climb without hesitation.
It was not just the big 4x4s taking part, but the highly capable Jimnys as well.
The youngest participant of the day was a mere seven months old. After the fun was had on the road, the vehicles made their descent to the braai area next to the river, not knowing that this would be where the first vehicle had to get a tow.
Due to the heavy rains of the weekend, part of the road had washed away and the participants had to assist in filling up the gap with rocks and sand.
The Toyota FJ Cruiser just hit it badly and had to be assisted in getting out of the ditch.
After the gap was made more level, the rest of the group passed with no issues.
