HARTENBOS NEWS - There was a sea of red at the Hart & Bosch Village Parkrun on Saturday, 8 February.
Participants dressed up for the Valentine's theme.
A total of 365 runners and walkers took to the course.
The event, full of energy and camaraderie, was made possible by the dedicated support of 44 volunteers, who ensured everything ran smoothly.
Among the standout participants were the two oldest male runners, Daniel du Toit and Miles Cloete, both 86 years old.
Daniel, older by three months, has an impressive record of 217 parkruns and has volunteered 19 times, while Miles has completed 176 parkruns and contributed as a volunteer on 13 occasions.
Their enduring commitment to the parkruns continues to inspire all who join the weekly event.
There were 59 participants who were doing their first ever parkruns on Saturday.

Also gracing the course was Priscilla Erasmus, who competes in the age 80 to 84 category.
Notably, the oldest volunteer at Stefanie Storm Miles Cloete the event was Stefanie Storm.
She also participates in the parkrun - in the age 85 to 89 category.
With an astonishing 128 completed parkruns and 163 volunteer credits to her name, Stefanie’s dedication remains an inspiration to all.
The Valentine’s theme added an extra touch of fun and festivity to the morning, with runners and walkers embracing the spirit of the day in their radiant reds. - Gerold Whittaker
