MOSSEL BAY BOWLING NEWS - The third round of the 2020 Afrishore Spring Bowling Business League was completed on Thursday, 13 February, in near perfect conditions for bowling.
At the end of round three, Dolphin Café was leading on 30 points, followed by Needles & Pins and Rudman & Visagie, both on 29 points.
In fourth place is Drema on 28 points. There are several teams in touching distance of the frontrunners and by all accounts the final three rounds are going to be a tight affair to see who comes out as the overall champions on 5 March.
The Valentine's Day theme brought out the best in most of the teams, with players dressing up and entering into the spirit of the occasion. The Whalers were suitably attired and had heads turning with the men looking the part, dressed in pink.
Leading the "Touchers Competition" on six touchers after round three is still Claude from Needles & Pins. He is closely followed, with five touchers, by Jerry from Primapart, "Groot Piet" from Drema and John Barnard from Whalers.
Wayne Smith from STAT Warehouse won the "Spider" and Grant Dingle from Needles & Pins won the "Corner to Corner". Both Wayne Smith and Grant Dingle won a voucher from Hi-Q Mossel Bay and a bottle of wine from Mossel Bay Bowls Club.
We look forward to another evening of fun-filled bowls played by all teams during round four. Good luck to all and more importantly to all bowlers, enjoy the evening.
