GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - The 11th Mossel Bay Sport and Recreation Festival starts on a high note this year with the Eden Open Championship in table tennis today.
The event takes place from today until Sunday, 25 August, at the Indoor Sport Centre in Sampson Street in Extension 13, KwaNonqaba.
It includes players from as young as U11s to adults, who will be competing in this fast-moving sport, requiring sharp concentration.
The event is hosted by the Mossel Bay Table Tennis Club. Participants are travelling from as far as the Cape Winelands to compete.
Entry to the event is free for any community members who wish to support this exciting championship.

23 August:
16:00 – Tournament opens
17:00 to 21:00 – Round Robin
24 August:
08:00 to 17:00 – Round Robin
25 August:
08:00 to 12:00 - Knock-out
12:00 - Medal presentation
13:00 - Closing of tournament
