MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Annemie Koen from Mossel Bay, one of South Africa's up and coming women cyclists, took time off from her busy training programme to support the non-profit organisation, Binah, in its drive to raise awareness for families living with autism.
Koen joined 290 participants in the second annual Big Walk by Binah on Sunday, 15 April, held at the Garden Route Botanical Gardens in walking 4,8km. It was literally a walk in the park for her.
The jovial atmosphere did not take away from the serious message that was spread: accept and support families living with autism.
Koen came second in her age group (30-34 years) at the 2017 South African championships and recently wore the Yellow Jersey for the first two days of the Bestmed Tour of Good Hope and finished in the third position in the Open Category women's section.
