MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Mrs Berti Harris, chair of the Mossel Bay Bridge Club, said the bridge tournament which forms part of Mossel Bay's annual Sport and Recreation Festival, once again attracted participants from as far afield as Cape Town as well as from bridge clubs in surrounding districts in the Southern Cape.

The tournament was held at the Garden Court Hotel in Mossel Bay.

Harris said the success of the day's event was a reward for the leadership and initiative of the Mossel Bay Municipality, which had established the annual Sports Festival for many sporting codes.

She acknowledged the support of not only the municipality, but also the generous sponsorship from the Garden Court Hotel and the many business and professional donors who contributed.

The tournament saw 24 medal winners attaining gold, silver and bronze for their play.
