"Thanks to all the Mossel Bay Golf Club members for hosting the Southern Cape Nomads. It was a great honour to play the course," said Southern Cape Nomads Captain Jacques Matthee. He lauded the green-keeper and his staff for the good condition of the golf course and made special mention of the Mossel Bay Golf Club President Noel Hudson before thanking him for the game at his home course. "Everything was great," said Matthee.
The competition took on the usual medal stableford format with Flats Huisamen taking honours for the A division with 35 points.
In the B division Matthee took first prize (38 points) and Hugh Collier top honours in the C division with his 36 points.
Marius Venter, Hannes Thirion, Rikus Oosthuizen, Div De Villers and Anton Izaaks (Snr) all landed their first shots closest to pins on various par three's Matthee thanked the many sponsors who continue making it possible for the Nomads to play their competitions. "It's a great honour to make Nomads proud," he said. In closing he thanked the Nomads Pink Ladies and Dave Meyer for 'a job well done job' at the registration table as well as organising the starters. "You are a great motivation for Nomads."
The Southern Cape Nomads Golf Club's next game will be played at George on 1 December 2013.
