MOSSEL BAY GOLF NEWS - It was a day when the mercury was rising and success proved challenging when the ladies of Mossel Bay Golf Club met last Thursday to contest their weekly competition.
The format for the day was an individual points stableford and 23 players competed for supremacy in uncomfortably hot conditions.
The winning slot, on an excellent score of 41 points, was awarded to Marina Juta, followed in second place by Drini Khun with 39 points.
In third place was Ina Swart on 37 points. Counted in, in fourth place, with 35 points was Gloria Greyvenstein with Christe Marie Meyer counted out to fifth place.
Nearest the pin, on the eighth, was secured by Jackie Braisher, with a resultant two club.
The only other two club of the day was achieved by Christe Marie.
The ladies' section annual general meeting immediately followed the prize giving and was chaired by our very able captain, Letitsha Higgs.
The comprehensive meeting covered many topics, resulting in a strong mandate for the year ahead, with a dedicated team at the helm, providing a solid foundation for the highly successful ladies section of the club.
