GARDEN ROUTE | HESSEQUA GOLF NEWS - Mossel Bay's Simoné Ferreira (15) is on a winning streak.
Playing in blustery conditions in Stilbaai, she won the women's section of the Eden District Open on Sunday, 31 January.
Simoné also competed in the Stilbaai Open on Saturday, coming third.
In November last year Simoné won the 2020 women's championship at the Mossel Bay Golf Course.
She is a product of the Mark McNulty Junior Golf Foundation at San Lameer on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast.
Her family moved to Mossel Bay just over a year ago when she was approved to join the prestigious Louis57 Junior Golf Academy at Pinnacle Point. Simoné made history by being the first girl in the junior academy in 2020 and was re-elected to the academy once again in 2021.
She is a full member of both Mossel Bay and Pinnacle Point golf clubs. Simoné is a learner at Eden Educational Services in Mossel Bay.
