MOSSEL BAY GOLF NEWS - The annual Alzheimer's SA golf day at Dolphin Creek Golf Club in Great Brak River is taking place on Saturday, 8 September.
There will be exciting prizes up for grabs including weekends away at attractive establishments, meal vouchers and generous food hampers.
Don't miss this fun event for a worthy cause, where there will be ample opportunity to promote your brand. You can enter with a partner, in a group of friends or in a company team.
Funds raised go to the Alzheimer's SA Southern Cape branch, which among other activities, trains carers professionally in looking after Alzheimer's patients in seniors' homes. The organisation promotes understanding of the disease and helps to support families of Alzheimer's sufferers.
The Alzheimer's SA Southern Cape branch jurisdiction stretches from Still Bay through to Plettenberg Bay and also includes the hinterland up to Somerset West and Oudtshoorn. This is a large area, so funds raised from the golf day will go towards petrol costs and the cost of printing training manuals for carers of Alzheimer's patients throughout this region.
The format for the golf day will be a 4-BBB stableford. You enter with a partner. There will be a "shotgun start" in which everyone begins at the same time, at 09:00. The fee is only R150 per person. Carts cost R140. Booking is essential. The prize giving will be held directly after the competition. Bookings close on 6 September, but there are limited places, so please book early.
There will be raffle forms at the golf club two weeks before the golf day, so you can take a ticket or more to win a hamper.
