MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Sea Birds FC claimed top honours at the Easter Weekend Soccer Tournament hosted in Mossel Bay recently.
The tournament ran from Friday to Monday, 3 to 6 April, with 19 teams from Mossel Bay battling it out at the Ext 23 sports grounds.
In a closely contested final, Sea Birds quite literally got one up on Peace Makers.
Come full time, neither team had been able to add points to the scoreboard, leading to a penalty shoot-out. Sea Birds narrowly beat out their opponents with a final score of 6-5.
Young Stars took the third place with Try Again coming in fourth.

According to Ketelo, Sea Birds is one of the oldest teams in Mossel Bay, having been established in 1950.
The team managed to win all their matches in the group stage and continued its winning streak right into the finals.
