Mamelodi Sundowns top PSL log ahead of festive break

NATIONAL NEWS - About 15 goals were scored in the final round of Premier Soccer League (PSL) action for 2015, interestingly, with no team scoring more than two goals in any of the games.

Mamelodi Sundowns walked away as the biggest winners when they beat Orlando Pirates 2-0 to go top of the log, days after lifting the Telkom Knockout trophy, which they beat Kaizer Chiefs for.

Leonardo Castro and Khama Billiat were the men to hand coach Pitso Mosimane the ideal Christmas gift, while for the Buccaneers rounded off what’s been a very disappointing year.

They lie 13th on the log with 11 points from 10 games.
