MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The new Mossel Bay Local Football Association (Molfa) chairman, Vuyani S Ndamase, and three vice chairmen, Mr M Mtyhalanga, Mr C Adams and Miss P Ngwane were elected recently.
The secretaries are Mr Z Mpumela and Mr T Olifant, the treasurer is Mr L Mbawula, and five additional members were also elected, namely Mr A Matshwilitshwili, Mr Z Nkomombini, Mr A Cekiso, Mr A Metuko and Mr Lamla Tafeni.
"There exists a number of vacancies available to beef up the Executive where we intend to extend the number of ladies on the committee to break the norm," Mr Ndamase said.
"The past few seasons weren't that successful for our local teams, but nonetheless, I thank the outgoing chairman Mr Shadrack Shishana, Mr T Mvumvu and Mr Nonkumbi for their efforts.
"Our football needs visionaries, go-getters, focused leaders, developers and people who are servants of Football to bring about a change in our communities," Mr Ndamase added.
He said Football is in sport terms a community unifier. "We compete as teams to inspire Juniors to see a need to become involved in sport in order to cut the risk of involving themselves in unethical behaviors such as theft, housebreaking, or the use and peddling of drugs.
"We looking forward to the challenge ahead of us. With God's help we can do more for Mossel Bay. A Godly leadership understands being servants of the Community."
