A cloud burst two overs into the Lions innings delayed the match with the ground staff battling to ensure that play could resume.

The target was reduced to 149 from 20 overs after the Titans posted a total of 255 for nine wickets in their innings.

Titans veteran Jacques Rudolph anchor his side's innings with a knock of 77 runs off 105 balls (7x4, 1x6).

The hosts were restricted to 255/9 with Rudolph the only constant in the first 38 overs, while there were a few cameos.

Henry Davids (18) and Heino Kuhn each shared a 50-run partnership with Rudolph before they were sent back to the dressing room.

Rudolph's innings finally came to an end when he edged a Matt McGillivray ball to Lions keeper Thami Tsolekile with the Titans on 175/6.

Rudolph's departure came as a serious blow to the Titans' innings and could have had disastrous consequences as Albie Morkel followed suit with two runs after facing only six balls.

Batting well down the order, Qaasim Adams saved their blushes as he made a quick-fire 59 (4x4, 2x6) off 56 balls.

Alviro Petersen was the only glimmer of hope for the Lions as he posted a top score of 48 runs, while the rest of the batting line-up failed miserably in the chase.

The Lions batsman's knock got his side within reach of the total before he was caught by JP de Villiers, who dropped Petersen on the boundary.

Grant Thomson was the chief destroyer for the Titans with figures of 3/35 while Junior Dala restricted the flow of runs with 1/19 in his four overs.

Used as the Titans' second home ground, Willowmoore Park is proving to be somewhat of an enemy in the team's campaign this season.
