SOUTHERN CAPE CRICKET NEWS - The Six Gun Grill South Western Districts cricket team will take on the Multiply Titans in the quarter-final of the Cricket South Africa T20 knock-out competition.
The Titans qualified for the knock-out stages after they ended second behind the ITEC Knights upon conclusion of the Pool B group matches that took place in Bloemfontein last week.
SWD, who finished top of the table in Pool A, has already started their preparation for the big clash that will take place in Kimberley on 19 October.
Good news for the men from the Southern Cape is that their overseas professional from Derbyshire, Leus du Plooy, will join the team this week and will be eligible for selection for the Kimberley trip.
The squad for the quarter-finals will be announced next week Monday. The team will depart for Kimberley on 14 October whereafter they will move into a biosecure environment in preparation for the clash on the 19th.
This match will start at 10:00 and will be broadcasted live on SuperSport (Channel 212).
