A philosophical Morkel said he has no sense of entitlement following his sensational return of three for 12 in the second T20-International against India.
Even if he produces several superb performances domestically during the next few months, it might not automatically guarantee a passage to India as part of the final ICC World Twenty20 squad, he persisted.
“Some players, when asked how many seasons they have left, can emphatically answer that there will be six or seven years, but I’m taking it game by game,” the 34-year old added.
A feature of Morkel’s performance in that second T20 International was his consistency, but he alluded to the pressure from the other end as well as a crucial factor.
