Knysna Cavaliers top Premier League log

GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - Knysna Cavaliers (216/9) top the log after the last round of pool matches in the SWD Cricket Premier League and advance to the final, taking place on 21 March.

They defeate Ramblers (91 all out) by 125 runs to secure a bonus point.

George, who like Cavaliers also won six of their seven matches, ended second after an eight-wicket victory against Sussex. They take on Plett Pioneers in the play-off match at Rooirivier Rift on 27 February after Pioneers (208/8) recorded a 49-run victory against Harlequins Forces (159 all out).

Union Stars (192 all out) ended their campaign on a high at the Bridgton Sports Ground with a comprehensive 100-run victory against Mossel Bay (92 all out).

Ramblers, who could not manage a victory, will be relegated to the Promotion League.
