CRICKET NEWS - South Africa's leading cricket development programme, KFC Mini Cricket, recently received a boost from SWD Cricket at the Annual KFC Mini Cricket Provincial Seminar.
Coaches, volunteers, administrators, key stakeholders and coordinators gathered at the Acropolis venue outside Blanco to listen to how the season will unfold.
Approximately 80 delegates attended the seminar. SWD KFC Mini Cricket coordinator, Genevieve Anthony, was beaming with joy at the opportunity to host the KFC Mini Cricket seminar.
"The seminars are important as they lay the foundation for our season," Anthony commented. The overarching theme of this year's KFC Mini Cricket festival was "Making Volunteering Your Identity."
This program is dependent on the unwilling contribution from volunteers.
KFC Mini Cricket provides a platform for kids in South Africa to have fun and be active. It is the biggest grassroot development sports programme in South Africa and is also an essential building block for learning cricketing basics and entrenching a love for the game.
