MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Daniel Swart, a well-known Mossel Bay sportsman, has been selected for the SA Pool Billiards Team to participate in the All Africa Championships at Club Mykonos, Cape Town, from 4 to 9 November.
They are the first All Africa Eight-Ball Pool Championships to take place in South Africa.
The countries to participate are Algeria, Mauritius, Reunion Island, Morocco, Madagascar, Senekal and South Africa.
Daniel is also chairman of the Mossel Bay Pool League, which to date has produced more than 20 provincial players including two SA national singles champions, of which one title was won by him.
He also was part of the SA pool billiards team from 2015 to 2018 that participated in the world championships in England and reached the quarterfinal stage in the world championships in England in 2017.
Daniel also has been selected for the World Championships 2019 in England.
He dedicates this tournament to his late friend and the great icon in South African pool circles as well as in Mossel Bay, who passed away this year, Grant Coetzee.
