NATIONAL NEWS - A Metrobus drove off a bridge in Braamfontein on Wednesday, injuring the driver, Johannesburg metro police said.
The driver lost control on the Queen Elizabeth Bridge near Park Station, crashed through the barrier and landed on the ground, its rear still propped up against the bridge, Inspector Edna Mamonyane said.
The road was closed from the Nelson Mandela Bridge to Queen Elizabeth Bridge while the bus was being removed.
"Paramedics transported the driver to hospital. We do not know the nature of his injuries," she said.
There were no passengers onboard at the time.
