Kohler Barnard could face R20 000 fine

NATIONAL NEWS - Democratic Alliance (DA) member of Parliament (MP) Dianne Kohler Barnard will reportedly be expected to pay a hefty fine and rescind all internally elected DA positions if party leaders accept her recommended sentence.

Kohler Barnard pleaded guilty to charges of misconduct and contravening the party's social media policy during her disciplinary hearing on Friday.

She’s been taken to task for sharing a Facebook post which praised PW Botha.
 
Sunday papers reported that among the panel's recommendations to the DA’s federal executive, Kohler Barnard has to pay a R20,000 fine and fund a public apology to be printed in five newspapers.
